Just after the Spring Festival, good news came from the production frontline of Changqing Oilfield: As of February 21, the oil and gas production equivalent of Changqing Oilfield in 2026 had rapidly surpassed the 10 million-ton mark, demonstrating a strong start to the "15th Five-Year Plan" period.
This impressive performance sheet is a direct reflection of Changqing Oilfield's efforts in maintaining stable production from old wells and increasing output from new ones, marking the significant effectiveness of its measures for high-level production and stable growth. According to the 2026 work conference of Changqing Oilfield, in the opening year of the "15th Five-Year Plan", the oilfield has set a new mission of "striving to be a model and a benchmark", and is taking the "Strong, Robust, Beautiful, and Grand Changqing" as its action path, fully promoting the high-quality development of its main business.
Since the beginning of this year, Changqing Oilfield has focused on maintaining a stable ratio of reserves to production, and has coordinated efforts to win the battles of efficient exploration, lean development, and new energy development, laying a solid foundation for achieving the annual production targets with high quality. While maintaining high-level oil and gas production, the development of the oilfield's new energy business has also accelerated. The company's work report clearly states that integrating new energy into the main business is the key to building an "oil-rich, gas-abundant, and green-integrated" industrial ecosystem. The oilfield is accelerating the planning of the carbon neutrality demonstration zone in the Ordos Basin, seizing clean power indicators and project construction, continuously expanding the scale of CCUS and hydrogen energy demonstrations, and fully boosting the "second growth curve" to lay a good foundation for new energy to exceed one million tons of standard oil and continuously increase its proportion during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period.
Behind this outstanding achievement is the dedication and commitment of tens of thousands of Changqing employees during the holiday. During the Spring Festival, more than 30,000 cadres and employees of Changqing Oilfield gave up family reunions and remained at their posts in various oil and gas production units on the Loess Plateau and in the Mu Us Sandland. They strictly implemented all safety production arrangements, ensuring safe and stable production through pre-holiday safety inspections, hierarchical duty shifts, and digital and intelligent control measures. During the holiday, the oilfield completed over 1.7 million tons of oil and gas equivalent and generated over 18 million kilowatt-hours of new energy power, both exceeding the targets. All gas production units ensured the full-load operation of over 20,000 gas wells, scientifically allocated resources, and fully met the peak gas demand during the Spring Festival.
